Find answers to common questions about Ronin Arms builds,
suppressor systems, conversions, ordering policies, and platform compatibility.
This FAQ page covers the most common questions about Ronin Arms integrally suppressed builds, conversion services, suppressor systems, compatibility requirements, and ordering policies. If you’re considering a build, sending in your firearm for conversion, or purchasing a suppressor system, the information below will help you understand timelines, requirements, and what to expect.
What does “In Stock” mean on Ronin Arms builds?
“In Stock” means all required parts are available and your order can enter the active build queue. The firearm is not pre-built and will be hand-built from scratch by a single gunsmith according to the scheduled production timeline.
Why do Ronin Arms builds take several months to complete?
Every firearm is built under the “One Gun, One Gunsmith” philosophy. Each build is individually fitted, welded, finished, and live-fire tested by a single gunsmith to ensure reliability and precision.
What is an integrally suppressed firearm?
What ammunition should be used with SD systems?
Most Ronin Arms SD systems are designed to run standard 115gr or 124gr 9mm ammunition, which is slowed to subsonic speeds through a ported barrel system. Heavier subsonic ammunition is typically unnecessary and may not be recommended.
Can I fire the firearm without the suppressor installed?
No. Firing these systems without the suppressor attached may cause severe damage to the firearm and suppressor system. Always confirm the suppressor is installed properly before firing.
Do Ronin Arms suppressors require cleaning or disassembly?
Ronin Arms suppressors are designed as non-serviceable systems. They are built for extremely high round counts and typically only require basic external maintenance unless factory servicing is required.
How does the ATF transfer process work for suppressors?
Suppressors must be transferred through a licensed FFL dealer with an SOT. Ronin Arms typically processes a Form 3 transfer to your dealer, after which you will complete a Form 4 transfer through your local FFL.
What do I need to ship when sending my firearm for conversion?
Customers should ship only the required components specified for the service, typically the barreled receiver and bolt carrier group. Extra parts should not be included unless specifically requested.
Do Ronin Arms offer engraving services?
Can I send a firearm to Ronin Arms for Cerakote or finishing work only?
What firearms are compatible with Ronin Arms conversion services?
Compatibility depends on the platform. Many SD conversions require full-size MP5 receivers, while MPX conversions are limited to certain SIG MPX generations. Always confirm compatibility before placing an order.
Are Ronin Arms builds and conversions refundable?
No. Because each build, suppressor system, or conversion service is custom scheduled and parts are allocated immediately, all sales are final and cancellations or refunds are not offered.
Do Ronin Arms accept customer firearms that were previously modified by other builders?
In most cases, firearms that have been previously modified, converted, or altered by another builder are not accepted for Ronin Arms conversions. This helps ensure build quality, safety, and compatibility with Ronin Arms SD systems. Customers should confirm platform eligibility before shipping a firearm for service.
